BIS & QCO Glossary: Full Forms and Meanings
Plain-English meanings of the terms you'll meet in BIS certification: QCO, ISI, CRS, FMCS, NABL and more.
QCO full form
QCO = Quality Control Order
A Quality Control Order is a government order, issued under Section 16 of the BIS Act, 2016, that makes BIS certification compulsory for a specific product. Once it applies, the product must meet its Indian Standard and carry the BIS Standard Mark before it can be made, imported or sold in India. A product with no QCO is a non-QCO product, and certification for it is voluntary.
QCO meaning, with real examplesA
