Coming up: the next five QCO deadlines
1 December 2026 — Aluminium and aluminium alloy products (DPIIT): ten standards including IS 733 bars and sections, IS 736 plate, IS 737 sheet and strip, IS 739 wire, IS 1285 tubes and IS 21 alloys for utensils.
31 December 2026 — Linear Alkyl Benzene, IS 12795:2020 (Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals).
26 January 2027 — Digital television receivers for satellite broadcast transmission, IS 18112:2022 (Ministry of Electronics and IT).
1 April 2027 — Glass screen protectors for smartphones, IS 19348:2025 (Ministry of Electronics and IT).
5 June 2027 — Polypropylene fibre ropes (PP2 split film, monofilament and multifilament, and PP3 high-tenacity multifilament; 3-, 4-, 8- and 12-strand), IS 5175:2022 (Ministry of Textiles).
These are the enforcement dates BIS lists. Some orders give micro and small enterprises later dates — check the order that applies to you.

Manufacturers, importers and traders of the products above, and buyers who depend on them as inputs.
What to do
- Work back from your deadline: testing, the application and a factory inspection typically take one to four months for Indian factories and longer for foreign ones under FMCS.
- Ask your suppliers now whether they have applied — not in the month of the deadline.
